The bad thing about being a tourist is you are a target for every scam, street seller and beggar around.

Step out of your hotel and you are instantly bombarded with cries of 'tuk tuk?', 'cyclo?' and tactics such as 'where you from?,' 'Where you going?, and plain orders to come look my shop/cafe/hotel!

There were also ample local school children selling postcards, beads, paintings etc in restaurants and bars.
